Week 3 RJA
Research Topic Exploration -
The discussions that are emerging around my topic are mostly centered around the idea that jail may be too harsh for children so probation may be a better alternative. Juvenile probation seems to be a fairly controversial topic primarily because it deals with children not adults.
Some of the key players and/or groups that are interested in my topic are the judicial system, therapists, government officials, lawyers, probation officers, bureau of justice, and pretty much anyone involved in the criminal justice program.
The subtopics that emerged in discussions of my topic were the effectiveness of incarceration, the requirements of probation and juvenile crime rates.
